Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Marshall County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. We do not disclose it beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may collect routine technical details about the visit:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- Date and time information for page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic patterns, popular pages, and where visits end. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the website work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, maintain, and improve website performance
- Route a submitted search to the appropriate outside service
- Measure which materials visitors use
- Diagnose errors and other technical problems
- Present advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Marshall County Court Docket does not maintain, host, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to records kept by Mike Wiles, Marshall County Circuit Court Clerk, Cecilia West Spivy, Marshall County Clerk & Master, and the courts responsible for those files. Tennessee Case Finder is a separate inquiry provider. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is handled under that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and disclosure practices. We do not control those policies. Review the applicable provider terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Marshall County clerks, Tennessee courts, official case resources, legal-aid providers, or outside search services. Once you leave this website, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or select ads. Their tracking does not occur under our direct control.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Analytics vendors that measure use and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can guarantee complete security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with a visitor's location and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 and the Tennessee Public Records Act govern access to official Tennessee court and public records, not visitor data held by this private website. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request a copy of personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of personal data
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. A revised version will be posted here and will carry a new effective date so visitors can identify the current terms.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
